Academic Focus

Throughout the year, the students are taught letters, numbers, colors, shapes, along with other important self-awareness concepts that will allow them to be successful in Kindergarten. We not only want the children to be successful, but also develop a love for school.

Classroom Communication

Each week our teachers send an email to parents titled ‘Peek of the Week.’ It includes our weekly lessons, songs, crafts, activities, and helpers. Sharing what we do in the classroom is important to us so parents can follow along and support children’s learning at home.

Example: UPK Peek of the Week

In addition the Rush-Henrietta School District and Universal Pre-K Office communicates often with parents through email, newsletters, and flyers sent home with the children. There is ongoing programming offered to all UPK students.

We also use an app, ClassDojo, to share pictures and class updates with parents. You’ll only have access to your child’s specific class.
