Director of school, 4 Year Old/UPK ProgramKirstin has been co-director of Rush Nursery School since 2005. She started as a teacher aid in 2002 and began teaching 3 years later. Previously, she taught 6th grade for 7 1/2 years, taking time off to have her own children. Kirstin brings to Rush Nursery School a masters degree in Elementary Education, with a minor in Special Education.

2 and 3 Year Old ProgramsJoan started with Rush Nursery School in 2012 as a teachers aide. In 2017, she began teaching in the Friday 2 year old program. Joan brings to RNS a bachelors degree in Biology and several years of experience teaching Sunday school at the preschool level.

School Registrar, 2, 4, and 5 Year Old ProgramsKaren joined the Rush Nursery School staff in 2008 as a teacher aide and began teaching in 2010. Immediately following college Karen taught computers for the
Diocese of Rochester but left for a retail management career. She resigned from retail to raise her children. Karen brings to RNS a masters degree in Secondary Education in Mathematics.

UPK
Donna began working at RNS in 2022 as an aide in the 3’s room. She worked with three-year olds for 2 years. During the 2024-2025 school year she became the teacher for the newly added, additional UPK classroom. Donna came back for the 2026-2027 school year and is again, a pre-k4 teacher.
Donna is a retired kindergarten teacher from Wheatland-Chili with masters degrees in Gifted and Talented Education as well as Early Childhood Education. She grew up near Chicago, in Wheeling, Ill.
